ISSA LISH

At 14 years old, Superstar Issa Lish was unaware of where her destiny was headed when scouted at her Japanese father’s sushi restaurant in Mexico City.

Shortly after, she found herself in exclusive for photography legend Steven Meisel, where he featured the Mexican-born beauty on her (first of many) cover of Vogue Italia’s April 2014 issue and the F/W 2014 advertising campaign for COACH.  Once that season was final, she quickly began posing for other photography greats including Paolo Roversi, David Sims, Mert & Marcus, Ines & Vinoodh and Mario Sorrenti to name a few.

Season-after-season, Issa was fronting more & more fashion advertising campaigns and dominating catwalks for major brands including MARC JACOBS, GIVENCHY, DOLCE & GABBANA, ALEXANDER WANG, GUCCI, SAINT LAURENT, PRADA, FENDI, VERSACE, BALENCIAGA, CHANEL, BURBERRY and CALVIN KLEIN.

Alongside her modelling career, Issa is an accomplished illustrator. Her early fascination with drawing was sparked by her uncle, Oliverio Hinojosa, a contemporary painter active in Mexico during the 90s.
As a child, she would spend time in his studio while her mother worked, experimenting with charcoal and creating imagined worlds - a formative, almost sacred space that became her first artistic playground. Today, her work, often intro- spective and surreal, reveals a nuanced perspective on identity and emotion - the same expressive intelligence that defines her presence in the fashion world.

Standing tall on MDC's INDUSTRY ICONS  list,  Issa speaks five languages: Spanish, Japanese, English, French, and Portuguese while enduring a natural and deep understanding of the arts and fashion.

She has recently made her acting debut in a film by Albert Moya due for release later this year!
