LAKSHMI MENON
Bangalore-born, Goa-based supermodel Lakshmi Menon was studying sociology at Bangalore University when approached by a talent scout expressing that Lakshmi’s physical attributes were perfect for advertising work. Having a side job to make some money while finishing her studies sounded like a great idea to the student. Upon graduation, Lakshmi dedicated more time to modelling in India. With the exposure in fashion magazines, that phonecall came along, offering her a chance to walk the runway for JEAN PAUL GAULTIER in Paris. HERMES followed the lead that same year, leading to steady season-after-season runway appearances.
Other than being photographed for numerous fashion publications including Vogue editions of India, France, USA, Spain; various editons of Harper's Bazaar and Elle; a cluster of independents like V Magazine, French Revue and NY Times Style to name a few... the Indian beauty has been featured in advertising campaigns including GIVENCHY, MAX MARA and HERMES.
Lakshmi is ranked as an "Industry Icon" on MDC and continues her collaborations on select fashion projects and catwalks. In recent seasons she has walked for luxury brands including TOM FORD, RALPH LAUREN, MAX MARA, LOUIS VUITTON, COURREGES and is featured in Elle India's February 2025 fashion story + cover with an interview by Mahieka Sharma.
Lakshmi's father, having been in the Indian army, may explain the disciplinary characteristic she has for overall well-being. Without discounting good genes, she turns to Pilates, gym training, and her general athleticism to keep fit.
