Born in Zwolle, a quaint city in the center of the Netherlands, Marlijn's deep love for Holland is matched only by her greater love for her Holland-based family. Throughout her extensive travels, her family has been a constant source of support. The Dutch values of sobriety, directness, and authenticity have profoundly influenced her, helping her stay confident and genuine in her career.

Marlijn's latest work in the fashion realm include runway appearances for GIVENCHY and CHANEL while gracing the pages of fashion publications including Vogue Hong Kong, Vogue Netherlands, Elle France and The Latest Magazine.  She has covered magazines for Elle Italia, Elle Sweden, Amica, Madame Figaro and Telva.  GIORGIO ARMANI featured the Dutch stunner in his advertising for Holiday '20 photographed by Lady Tarin.

In the Spring of 2026, Marlijn officially added "author" to her resume.  "Breekbaar",  about chasing dreams, traveling the world as a model, and the moment when everything changed.... is available in NL bookstores from June 2026...  An honest story about resilience, recovery, and finding yourself again.
