Born in small historic town on the Volga River - cradle of the Romanovs - Russian beauty Kati Nescher left her native town Kostroma and set off for a new adventure in Munich Germany. At the age of 18, in search of a better life and some improvised plot twists, Kati juggled being a nanny, waitress and cleaning woman while studying to become a translator…. And through it all, falling in love with the beauty and chaotic cross-cultural life.
Motherhood came first when she welcomed baby Theo…. And then somewhat unexpectedly, the modelling industry found her. Kati soon after had her breakthrough at PRADA FW12, walking their coveted runway... followed by Raf Simons & Matthieu Blazy for JIL SANDER FW12… launching a whirlwind career that took her to Supermodel status around the globe, working the iconic international catwalks and posing for an array of photography legends including Steven Meisel, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, Karl Lagerfeld, David Sims and countless others.
Before taking her German leap, Kati grew up with a common classic education (as many Russian girls did back then) in music, singing, piano playing, ballet and art. As many joys never get old, Kati has begun honig her skills once again by taking-up guitar lessons, ballet classes, painting and singing. She is reading and writing so much more as her desire to covet her passions become more & more prevalent!!!
Behind the runway lights, Kati’s true love has always been film. After taking on the protagonist role in Karl Lagerfeld’s The Return, opposite Geraldine Chaplin, she was hook-line-and-sinker engaged. Inspired by Bergman, Fassbinder, Polanski, Cassavetes, and Coppola, Kati dove into storytelling. Between 2023-2025, she co-wrote, produced and starred in four short films which are now making thier way through the Festival circuit.
Kati continues forward on with interest to other genres, aspiring to take on the challenge of feature films & documentaries…. So stay tuned, this reel is just getting started!!
